Paveh is a town in Kermanshah province in western Iran. It is believed that its name has something to do with the past religion of the town, namely Zoroastrianism. The local language and accent of Paveh is Hourami which is said to be a remnant of the Pahlave and Avesta languages. The people of Paveh are mainly engaged in agriculture and fruit gardening. The city has many interesting tourist sites, including a number of caves and a fire temple.
